When it was announced that Jannik Sinner would be suspended for three months after reaching an agreement with WADA, public opinion was divided on the matter.

Most players and insiders are convinced that the world No.1 enjoyed privileged treatment due to his status, although the Italian ace's lawyers explained in detail that the entire process took place according to the rules.
The 3-time Grand Slam champion would not have wanted to accept the deal with WADA, but his legal team convinced him that it was the best solution at this time. Although he had been cleared of all charges in the first instance, the 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria would have risked a suspension of one to two years before the CAS in Lausanne and it could have taken several more months before the final verdict.
In his official statement, Jannik revealed that the final verdictcould have come at the end of the year, forcing him to other months of very high stress.

For these reasons, Sinner wanted to end this story with a deal that was not appreciated by most of his colleagues.
