After defeating The Miz on the February 14 episode of SmackDown, Knight officially earned his rematch for the title he lost to Nakamura at Survivor Series on November 30. Now, February 28 is set for a showdown that could shake up the U.S. title scene.
WWE confirmed the match, setting up a rematch that could see The Megastar reclaim his spot at the top. The United States Championship will be on the line when LA Knight challenges Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura defeated Knight to win the title at Survivor Series and has held it tightly since, WWE stated.
Since capturing the championship, Nakamura has made it clear that he has no plans to let go of the gold, but Knight has been relentless in chasing him down. The Megastar has been relentless in his quest to regain the title, recently defeating The Miz to become the No. 1 Contender and setting the stage for this incredible rematch, WWEs announcement continued.
Also confirmed for SmackDown: Chelsea Green is set to compete, though WWE hasnt revealed her opponent yet.
