Angel Yin is making headlines in golf magazines, after a great performance at the LPGA Thailand a few days ago. The 26-year-old golfer celebrated in fierce competition, finishing the round with 65 shots, with a score of 28 shots under par.
The golfer, ranked 17th in the world, broke the record with a score of 260 strokes. The previous record was 262 strokes.
Behind her was Akie Iwai, a young Japanese woman who was also equally great, but still fell short of victory.Akie Iwai, a 22-year-old golfer, has yet to achieve great things, but this performance clearly shows that she has the potential to do so.
In a media interview, Yin shared that she felt enormous pressure, aware that her opponent was waiting for the right moment. Nevertheless, she kept her concentration until the end, and deservedly celebrated in Thailand.
"I wasn't that comfortable because Akie shot 10 under the first day and this course is very gettable. So I just had to keep my head down," said Yin, as quoted by Sky Sports.

The start of the final round immediately brought excitement, and despite the five-stroke advantage, one could notice how important the mental component of the game is. Iwai shared first place with her at one point, but three consecutive birdies were enough for Yin to gain a new lead and make a big score.
Iwai has every right to be proud of herself, with good indications that great performances await her in the future. Some of the golfers were absolutely disappointing in this tournament, but the season is long, with the possibility to correct mistakes.
Angel Yin is determined to continue her good form throughout the rest of the season, knowing she has the potential and quality to compete with the best golfers in the world.
