SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio was an opportunity for seasoned golfer Lucas Glover to share his thoughts on the state of the PGA Tour. The most famous golf tour has made many innovations this year, but next year will bring even more. Glover is not particularly open to some changes, especially moving to smaller fields, believing that the Player Advisory Council had to react on this one.

He didn't forget to mention Golf Channel commentator Johnson Wagner either.
"If that's the way we're gonna do it, then why even have a board?," Glover said, as quoted by The Fresno Bee.
"Why even have a PAC [Player Advisory Council]? Why even have these things? And Wags [referring to Wagner], I can say that I think your voice and my voice has a little bit of weight because we've been on both sides. We've seen it from the good side. We've seen it from the fighting-to-keep-our-card side."
Lucas Glover's opinion
An experienced golfer believes that the reduction in the number of participants in tournaments hurts the players who are at the bottom. The famous golfer is convinced that this system does not give players a chance to progress and become better. This opinion is shared by many, but PGA officials obviously put the greatest emphasis on golfers who belong to the very top, aware that they bring them the greatest profit. Such a trend also exists in other sports, but the question is whether it is a good solution?

"I feel like if you have those perspectives, those opinions, you're a little bit more open-minded to the greater good for the membership," he added, "not just the top 10, 20, or 30 even. And that's the biggest reason I've been so adamant against this 'losing cards' and 'shorter fields' and all that, because it hurts the bottom and it doesn't give the bottom a chance to climb that ladder."
