Earlier this month, WWE released quite a few Superstars from their contract and this included Elektra Lopez. While fans wondered what she would do next, it appears she was present backstage during the latest set of TNA iMPACT tapings.
According to a report by Lucha Libre Online, Elektra Lopez was present backstage at the TNA iMPACT taping at Full Sail on February 21st, which certainly got fans talking in a big way.
Elektra Lopez was an important part of Legado del Fantasma in NXT. She worked with Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, and Raul Mendoza. Her strong wrestling and confident attitude made her stand out.
When the group moved to SmackDown, Lopez stayed in NXT and this surprised many fans. She later appeared on the main roster a few times but was not as important as before. Before her release, she wrestled in NXT and sometimes on the main roster, but it seemed like there were no big plans for her.
Lopezs backstage presence at TNA iMPACT has fueled speculation that she could be considering a new chapter in her professional wrestling career. Many former WWE stars have seen lots of success in TNA, and if Lopez decides to sign with the company, she could add something new to the Knockouts Division. Therefore, we will have to wait and see what Lopez will do in the end once her 90-day no-compete clause ends.
