Miro had a strong start when he joined AEW in 2020, but he recently left the company after getting his release. Fans were certainly curious about when he would wrestle again and recently, he finally returned to the ring for the first time in over a year.
During a Qatar Pro Wrestling event held on February 22nd in Doha, Qatar, Miro made his in-ring return as he faced off against AAA Mega Champion Alberto Del Ro. The two have a lot of history together since they worked for several years in WWE, and Miro gave fans in attendance a solid match that they definitely enjoyed.
This marked Miros first match since his bout against Andrade El Idolo at the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view back on December 30th, 2023. Its safe to say that even after 14 months of in-ring absence, Miro showed the world he can still compete at a top level.
Many fans simply felt Miro was severely underutilized during his run in AEW as the landscape of the company changed and Tony Khan simply found no use of Miro anymore.
We have also reported that WWECreative expect Miro to make his returnsoon enough. While nothing is confirmed yet, this has led to speculation about The Redeemers potential return to WWE. Therefore, we will have to wait and see what the future holds for Miro, as another run in WWE could be exactly what he needs.
