President Donald Trump caused a lot of backlash with celebrating Black History Month. Some are skeptical when it comes to such moves by Trump, especially after he decided to remove DEI programs from the system, and in addition to control how racial issues can be discussed in classrooms.

The famous golfer Tiger Woods, who often hangs out and sits with Trump, was a guest at the celebration. The two of them played golf a few days ago, and later they met talking about the merger between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf.

The well-known journalist, Bomani Jones, could not remain deaf to such moves by Trump, unsure of the US president's sincerity.

Abby Philipp, a journalist during his guest appearance on CNN, asked Jones a question: Why does Trump go beyond his ideals, especially when it is known that his administration is "erasing" black history.

Lets operate under this assumption, said Jones, as quoted by Awful Announcing.

That you may think that Black History Month is okay, but you are terrified of being the person that says its okay, because everything that youre hearing implies that its not okay. So youre going to play it safe and be like, Sorry, were not doing BlaccHistory Month over here. I think that is an argument a lot of those people could ultimately make.

Bomani Jones explains his views

Jones is not sure how much the US president really likes black people, but he also thinks that Trump does like the idea they like him. He continued by pointing out that the US president primarily looks at his ego, as he wants to feed it.

Jones feels that Trump is motivated primarily by his goals, aware that he will score political points this way.

So he could get Tiger Woods and Kodak Black in the same room to tell him how dope he is. He loves that! His ego absolutely loves that. And so when I saw that, I was like, oh, okay, I think I see whats going on. And also his belief that Blacks get more of our votes in all of these things. So thats not something thats wise for him to turn off is the Black History Month thing.

It makes all the sense in the world for him to do this as he has.- he concluded.
