In the past few hours, the Miami Open has officially released the entry list for the 2025 edition. The second Masters 1000 of the season which has moved to the Hard Rock Stadium since 2019 (when Roger Federer won by defeating John Isner in the final) will feature the best players in the world with the exception of Jannik Sinner.
As everyone knows by now, the world No.1 who won the title last year by beating Grigor Dimitrov in the final act will have to be out for three months after reaching an agreement with WADA in relation to the doping case that involved him.
Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic are certainly the most important names in the men's tournament.
The 21-year-old Spaniard won the first Masters 1000 of his career in Miami in 2022, when he made a truly memorable run by beating Casper Ruud in the final.

Medvedev triumphed the following year, taking advantage of Sinner's fatigue in the final. The Italian ace had prevailed over Alcaraz at the end of a truly epic semi-final, in which both had delivered a memorable show from start to finish and had left fans speechless.
There is also huge anticipation for Djokovic's return to Florida. The Serbian legend who has promised to play more tournaments in 2025 has not participated in this tournament since 2019, the first edition that took place at the Hard Rock Stadium.
The 2025 player field is set
In the women's tournament, fans' attention will be focused on Aryna Sabalenka who is going through a moment of crisis after losing the Australian Open final Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff and Elena Rybakina.
The defending champion is Danielle Collins, who will try to repeat the extraordinary feat of the last edition.
