
Swiss Luca Galliano achieved his first success on the Alps Tour by winning with 203 (65 68 70, -13) shots in the Ein Bay Open, the inaugural competition of the 2025 circuit. On the course of the Sokhna Golf Club (Course B&C, par 72) in Suez, Egypt, in the 13th edition of the event, the 39-year-old Swiss with a final round of 70 (-2, five birdies, one bogey, one double bogey), recovered from second place leaving Irishman Ronan Mullarney, who rose from 11th place, and Spaniard Mario Galiano Aguilar, second with 204 (-12), one shot behind.

In fourth place with 205 (64 68 73, -11) Giovanni Manzoni who gave up in the final stages with a 73 (+1, two birdies, a bogey, a double bogey), after being at the top in the first two rounds. His good performance remains, as was that of Filippo Bergamaschi, fifth with 206 (67 72 67, -10), flanked by the Iberians Ignacio Gomez Osuna and Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, the Frenchman Maxime Legros and the Englishman Michael Hay.
Among the five competitors in tenth place with 207 (-9) the French Aymeric Laussot, who defended the title, In 15th with 208 (-8) Manfredi Manica, in 17th with 209 (-7) Davide Buchi, and in 20th with 210 (-6) Luca Memeo and Gianmaria Rean Trinchero. Also winning were Filippo Grossi, 30th with 212 (-4), Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, 32nd with 213 (-3), Alessandro Nardini, 34th with 215 (-1), and Flavio Michetti, 39th with 216 (par). Luca Galliano received a check for 6,200 euros on a prize pool of 42,500 euros.

The tournament, which in the past was the prerogative of Michele Cea (2018) and Stefano Mazzoli (2022), was the first of the triptych that opens the season in Egypt. It will be followed by the Red Sea Little Venice Open (February 24-26), also on the Sokhna Golf Club course, but on Courses A&B where 29 Italian players will be on the field, and the New Giza Open (March 1-3) in Cairo.
