The February 24 episode of Monday Night RAW was headlined by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez challenging Bianca Belair and Naomi for the WWE Womens Tag Team Titles. Morgan and Rodriguez won the titles and now the internal reaction to their win has been revealed.
According to a report by PWInsider, WWE planned this title change in advance, setting up Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for a major push after Livs storyline with Rhea Ripley ended.
The company is expected to keep them in a strong position leading up to WrestleMania 41. Backstage sources stated that WWE officials were very pleased with the crowds reaction and how the match played out, especially since it was the main event of the show.
In the final moments of the match, Bianca Belair was sent onto the announce table, and Naomi hit a dive on Raquel Rodriguez. Liv Morgan nearly won with a close two-count, but Naomi fought back with a Rear View. Dominik Mysterio got involved and took a kick from Naomi, but Raquel stopped her from hitting a split-legged moonsault. This gave Liv Morgan the opening to pin Naomi for the huge win.
With WrestleMania 41 approaching, WWE plans to keep Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez as a top team. They are set to play a big role in the Womens Tag Team division, but with many challengers ready to step up, their title reign could face tough competition soon.
