Laura Robson thinks Emma Raducanu currently doesn't have many options when it comes to hiring big-time coaches and believes the 22-year-old won't rush into adding a new member to her team until she finds the right fit.

After lasting a full season with one coach for the first time in her career, the 2021 US Open champion lost coach Nick Cavaday after the latter stepped down from his role to focus on tackling certain health issues.

Since then, the world No. 55 has been assisted by some of her junior coaches - Jane O'Donoghue and Roman Kelecic.

While Raducanu said she wanted to use this period to figure out some things, the truth is that her form since splitting with Cavaday hasn't been the best - she has only won one of her four matches since.

However, in her last tournament in Dubai, she showed some signs of improvement after beating Maria Sakkari before falling short to Karolina Muchova in a contested battle.

Robson: Raducanu's coaching options are pretty limited

"Emma Raducanu has been out in the Middle East trying to build on the form we saw from her in Australia. She is competing really well and making sure she's trying to do the right things on the court," the former British tennis star wrote in a column for Sky Sports.

"I don't think she's in any rush, really, to employ someone new, just for the sake of it. It has to make sense for her and it has to be the right person.

"There's not too many amazing coaches around who can travel full-time, so options are pretty limited. You wouldn't want to go into a new partnership without 100 percent confidence."

One of the biggest names that are currently available is Goran Ivanisevic.

After coaching several male players - including Novak Djokovic - the Croatian made a switch to the WTA Tour for the first time after he accepted to work with Elena Rybakina.

But as you probably know, that didn't go well at all so it's a mystery what would Ivanisevic do if another WTA player reached out to him with a job offer.
