John Ellis reacted

His caddy, John Ellis, had only words of praise for Clark, describing him as a hot shot kid who came to college and had trouble getting back on track after the death of his mother.

Still, Ellis never doubted Clark's talent.

John Ellis points out that Wyndham was expected to become one of the best players, comparing him to Scheffler.

His caddy continued to shout that they had to clip him, to which Clark responded: "Yeah. I can't wait till we finish first and he finishes second."
