Although Donald Trump as the US President has many obligations on all fronts, there is no doubt that the US President is also focused on helping the world of golf. This is supported by the fact that he has been part of two meetings between PGA and PIF officials so far, who want him to be an important factor in this story.

While it is still not known when the final deal could become a reality, messages of optimism are increasing, at least from Trump.
The Republican leader said yesterday that he is convinced that both sides will reach an agreement after long discussions and negotiations. The important thing for the US president is that both sides have good intentions for the future of golf.
'They're gonna have to get together,' he said. 'They've had a lot of discussion back and forth. They both are meaning well, and a deal will ultimately happen.
I think it will happen pretty quickly. It would be nice to see the best golfers play against each other.'- Donald Trump said, as quoted by Daily Mail.

During the meeting, Trump realized what the intentions of both sides were, and he emphasized that he wanted to be an important link in these negotiations. Trump has nothing against helping them find a solution and reach a final agreement.

The US president, as a huge fan of golf, believes that the best thing for everyone is to watch the best golfers in one place, a situation we have witnessed for years. However, a lot has changed since then.
'They are all great people, and they want to work it out. So, if I can help work it out I don't get anything out of it. I can help them work it out.
I just think golf it's very much an individual sport, and you want to see the best players playing against each other and not playing in two different locations.'-Trump concluded.
