Before the match, it was announced that the German tennis star would conduct a press conference whether he won or lost.
But after the world No. 83 upset Zverev 6-3 6-4 in the Acapulco round-of-16, the 2025 Australian Open runner-up reportedly refused to speak with the press.
As reported by Ben Rothenberg.
Zverev failed to capitalize on a second-set lead before exiting
In the first set, the No. 1 seed missed out on two consecutive break points in the fifth game before Tien earned the lone break of the opener in the eighth game.
Down by a set, the German opened a 4-1 second-set lead but then lost the next five games and ultimately the match.

I honestly couldnt tell you how I did it. I went out there and tried to control my side of the court," Tien said after his win.
"I knew it would be tough. To come through feels great. Im really looking forward to playing my next one.
The 19-year-old, who also upset Daniil Medvedev at the Australian Open, admitted that he felt the nerves.
The nerves are definitely there. I try to hide it as much as I can. Sometimes its easier than others," the world No. 83 added.
"Focusing on what I can control and keeping my cool as best as I can has really taken me a long way."
