AEW just cant catch a break, and this time, its Christopher Daniels at the center of the latest mishap.
During the February 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, cameras accidentally caught Daniels blading right before the show cut to a dramatic shot of him lying in a pool of blood. The mistake quickly made its way to social media, with fans calling out the company for its sloppy production.
Daniels has been a key player in the ongoing feud between MJF and Adam Page, with Hangman being blamed for his in-ring retirement. The latest episode saw MJF taunting Page after allegedly attacking Daniels backstage. As Hangman ran to check on him, the cameras caught Daniels mid-blade job, exposing the trick wrestlers use to make themselves bleed. It was an instant botchone that AEW clearly didnt catch before airing.
Viewers wasted no time roasting the company. Glorified Indy garbage, one user wrote. Another blasted AEWs production team, saying, AEW needs someone who knows how to direct. Their cameramen always get the shot they dont need. The criticism kept rolling in. At what point do the AEW fans hang it up? one person asked.
Some called out the companys declining viewership, with one tweet reading, And they wonder why theyre hemorrhaging viewers every week. This is absolutely embarrassing. Another piled on, writing, This company is just a laughing stock at the minute. @TonyKhan should have taken Shanes offer.
Its just another rough night for AEW, and fans arent letting it slide. With AEW Revolution coming up on March 8, the company might want to tighten up its production before another blunder like this happens.
