Speaking to BBC Sport NI, Graeme said he was excited because individuals wanted to iron things out. Namely, the conflict between PGA and LIV has been going on for some time, but the openness of the individual to solve the problem especially pleases McDowell.
The 45-year-old is aware that the final deal would be the best option for everyone involved; from fans, experts to TV companies.
"I'm really excited that things are going on to try and repair the damage that's been done and bring the best players in the world back together more often," -he told BBC Sport NI.
"That's the key really, for the fans, for the sponsors and for TV, having the best players in the world coming together more often I think is something we all want.

What that means and what that looks like is something we don't know but I think everyone is very optimistic and hopefully the future of golf is bright."
Graeme McDowell and US Open
The experienced golfer surprised the public by joining LIV Golf three years ago, but Graeme had no qualms about accepting the invitation and the huge financial offer. Graeme wants to play at the US Open this year, stressing how important it is to him.
Playing the Majors is a dream for everyone, especially for McDowell, who is a former US Open champion.
"It's extremely important to me [to qualify]," said McDowell.
"I've got a busy enough six months coming up but the major championships remain the most important events in the world."
McDowell admits he has done everything in recent years to play the Open and the US Open, and he intends to do the same this time.
