Kevin Durant has further explained his decision to decline a trade that would have sent him back to Golden State.

One of the main reasons he didnt want to return was because he didnt want to play with Draymond Green, acording to the NBA media.

Yet, here he is, talking about it on Greens podcast.

I want my career to end on my terms, said Durant on The Draymond Green Show. Thats the only thing Im worried about. Because I see a lot of dudes who dont get that opportunity. I want to keep putting in work to make that choice on my own.

But as far as the Warriors, I didnt want to move. And then as a player like me, I cost a lot. Me going into your team in the middle of the season is going to be a big blow to any team Im going to. I get why you wanted to trade for me. Simple fact, thats just business. For me looking at it, it just dont make sense for either side right now to go through that when we just play the season out and if thats the decision you want to make in the offseason, then we can figure it out.

If I can stop it, then why not? And then all the narratives that will come with all that. I didnt feel like there was a need to make that kind of a change.

Durant also spoke about how he wanted to see this through with the Suns this season.

But, Brian Windhorst has been adamant since the deadline passed that a KD-Suns split is imminent.

Theyre going to trade him, said Brian Windhorst on NBA Today Wednesday. And he knows that. Theres been a couple of opportunities where he could have criticized them for trying to trade him. He has not done that. He has been very professional about this. I expect that to continue throughout the regular season. Hes going to try to win every game that hes out there.

I think hes handled this very appropriately.

Windy added, everybodys intentions are crystal clear.
