Stefanos Tsitsipas' career has not lived up to expectations so far. The Greek ace should have competed to win the Grand Slam titles, instead his parabola has been in a downward spiral for some time.

The former Top 10 has strayed far from his main goal and several players have shown that they are better equipped than him to triumph in Major tournaments. As time went on, the Greek ace lost his certainties and his game became increasingly predictable, allowing rivals to exploit his weaknesses (especially on the backhand side).
At the same time, the 2019 ATP Finals champion has lost that inner fire that had accompanied him at the beginning of his career by accepting a secondary role that should not compete with a player of his caliber.
To try to return to the champion of a few years ago, Stefanos interrupted the professional collaboration with his father Apostolos in mid-2024 and is trying in every way to make his game more effective away from the red clay (where he won all three of his Masters 1000).

'Tsitsi' knows that the road is still long and his 2025 did not start brilliantly, with the premature elimination at the Australian Open, a tournament in which he had almost always played well during his career.
Tsitsipas is using a new racket
The star from Athens seems to have found better sensations at the Dubai ATP 500 this week, where he reached the semifinals after defeating Matteo Berrettini at the end of a very tough battle.
Fans have certainly noticed that the Greek is using a different 'total black' racket model than usual.
Looking at the images, it should be a Babolat Pure Aero 98 (the same model used by 4-time Grand Slam champion Carlitos Alcaraz) or a new Wilson model almost similar.
In a recent interview, Tsitsipas confessed that the constant slowing down of balls and surfaces made his game less dangerous for his opponents.
