Leyla Hirsch is on her way out of All Elite Wrestling, but she might not be the only one.
According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com, AEW could be bracing for multiple departures throughout March as contracts expire and the roster gets trimmed down.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Alvarez dropped some inside info, hinting that Hirschs exit is just the start. I think that this will not be the last time you hear this story in the month of March. I have heard that there might be some departures coming up Whether its people being released, peoples deals coming up and not being renewed. I think the fact of the matter is, they got way too many people under contract I think I can comfortably say she [Leyla Hirsch] will not be the last in the next 30 days.
Hirsch, who signed with AEW in 2020, made her mark with hard-hitting matches against Serena Deeb, Thunder Rosa, and Kris Statlander before moving to ROH in 2022. A devastating knee injury sidelined her for over a year, but she returned strong in 2023, aligning with The Kingdom in ROH and eventually capturing the ROH Womens World Television Title.
Her final match under the AEW/ROH banner was against Red Velvet at Final Battle 2024, where she dropped the title.
Now, with her contract expiring, Hirsch becomes a free agent immediately, opening the door for potential moves to TNA, NJPW, or even WWEs NXT. But the bigger picture is AEWs stacked rostertoo many talents, not enough TV timeand it looks like more names could be cut loose soon.
Who do you think could be next? Should AEW downsize its roster, or is this a mistake? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
