Perth is about to be the ultimate battleground for both WWE and UFC, as TKO Group Holdings has locked in a multi-event deal with the Western Australian Government to bring five blockbuster shows to the city over the next two years.
TKO confirmed that UFC Fight Night will hit Perth later this year, and by 2026, the city will host a total of four more major eventsincluding WWE taking over RAC Arena with SmackDown, Raw, and a Premium Live Event.
Western Australias Premier Roger Cook is all in on this deal, calling it a major coup for the region. The return of UFC and WWE in 2025 is a major coup for Western Australia, following the roaring success of UFC 284 and WWE Elimination Chamber that collectively injected nearly $50 million into our economy last year, he said. Both UFC and WWE have proven to be huge draw cards with a dedicated fan base, and we expect to see thousands of out-of-state visitors travel to Perth to attend these blockbusters.
Peter Dropick, Executive Vice President of Event Development and Operations for TKO, doubled down on that sentiment, emphasizing the citys passionate fanbase. Perth is a world-class city, home to many passionate UFC and WWE fans, and were thrilled to expand this partnership with the WA Government, he said. Perths tourism hospitality is second to none, and UFC and WWE will proudly showcase the city and its wonderful people to the world through our global broadcasts reaching more than one billion homes across 170 countries.
WWE is going all out with a full weekend takeover at RAC Arena, stacking SmackDown, a Premium Live Event, and Raw into three action-packed nights. Fans still remember WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth in 2024, which pulled in over 52,000 people at Optus Stadium and proved that Australian fans are all in when WWE comes to town.
On the UFC side, the last two events at RAC Arena shattered records. UFC 305: Du Plessis vs. Adesanya packed in a sold-out crowd of over 14,000 and became the highest-grossing event in the arenas historybeating UFCs own previous record set with UFC 284: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski. Now, the deal guarantees two more UFC events in Perth, including one Fight Night before the year is out.
