Road Doggs return to WWE SmackDowns creative team is already getting messy, and now it looks like Triple H might be stepping in to clean it up.
After the February 21 episode left fans furious, Road Dogg became a trending topic for all the wrong reasons. Fans blasted his creative direction, with some calling for him to be removed from his position entirely. But now, a week later, things have taken a sharp turn. Reports surfaced before the February 28 episode that Triple H took a more hands-on approach with SmackDown and making last-minute changes.
Fans on social media immediately took notice, with one user tweeting, Thank god you stole the pen from Road Dogg, this shows been lit. Another wrote, This is no Road Dogg, my guy. This is Triple H. Road Dogg is spending some time in Paulcatraz! implying that The Game had completely taken over the show.
The jokes kept coming. One fan posted, Triple H saw Road Doggs plans for SmackDown tonight and threw that shit down the chute. Another joked, Road Dogg mustve been compromised to a permanent end because SmackDowns been pretty good tonight. Worlds better than last week at least.
Even Road Doggs rumored exclusion from the decision-making process became a meme. Another tweet read, Triple H pulling up to the arena seeing the bullshit Road Dogg had written up.
Some fans outright questioned if Road Dogg was still involved, given the stark difference in quality from the previous week. SmackDown doesnt completely suck tonight; did they fire Road Dogg? one fan asked. Another summed it up by saying, HHH looked at the script and said, this what yall be doin to Road Dogg, and took him out back cause this is not a Road Dogg show. We saw that last week.
