Roman Reigns may be off WWE television after getting taken out by Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble 2025, but thats not stopping him from firing shotsespecially at CM Punk.
Despite teaming up at Survivor Series 2024 to take down Solo Sikoas Bloodline, Reigns and Punk still have plenty of bad blood. That tension led to a viral moment when Reigns blocked Punk from entering the WarGames match, leaving The Second City Saint staring him down in frustration. Naturally, the internet turned it into a meme.
That same meme came up when Reigns and Paul Heyman recently sat down with IGN to review some of the best ones. It depicted Punk as the Cleveland Browns and Reigns as the Pittsburgh Steelers, setting up the perfect opportunity for The Tribal Chief to unleash some trash talk.
Oh, so Im guessing this is like a playoff situation. The Steelers keeping the Browns out, but lets just get one thing correct here. Cleveland sucks. Pittsburgh sucks. Niner Gang (Bang! Bang!), Reigns said, showing love for his San Francisco 49ers.
Heyman tried to brush the whole thing off, suggesting the meme shouldnt even be online, but Reigns saw it differently. Well, this got a lot of love, though. This is stupid, but this photo is good, and this moment was excellent. This has real meaning here, he said before making it clear that Punk doesnt stand a chance against him.
Punk cant do sht while Im around. Punks in it, four. Its a four with Browns and Steelers, irrelevant football teams. Its a four. Im the only thing keeping this thing in a positive,* Reigns added, making sure to remind everyone whos really running things.
Reigns may be off WWE TV for now, but its clear hes still watchingand Punk should probably take note.
