Eddie Kingston isnt holding back when it comes to CM Punk, and if theres one thing he enjoyed about their 2021 feudit was landing a shot right to Punks face.
During an appearance on Wrestling With The Narrative, Kingston was asked to say something nice about Punk, and while he gave credit where it was due, he made it clear that punching Punk in the face was at the top of his list.
I loved punching him in the face, Ill tell you that much, Kingston admitted before giving a rare compliment to his longtime rival. Punk is one of the few names still left in wrestling where if you put [his] name on a billboard by itself, youre gonna get people to come and see whats going on.
Despite acknowledging Punks star power, Kingston made sure to separate business from personal feelings. Personally, thats a different story, but business-wise, man, hes really one of the last few names in wrestling [that can do that], he added.
Kingston and Punks rivalry in AEW was as real as it gets, with Kingston repeatedly calling Punk out for leaving wrestling and claiming no one in the locker room liked him. Their war of words led to a heated showdown at Full Gear 2021, where Punk walked away with the win, but clearly, Kingston got some satisfaction of his own along the way.
Now, with Punk set to enter the Elimination Chamber, Kingstons words carry even more weight. Will Punk take another beating in WWEs most brutal structure, or does he still have what it takes to survive?
