Rickie Fowler is a golfer who was really superior a few years ago and it looked like his career would go on an upward trajectory, but it didn't happen. Looking for the culprit? It seems that this 36-year-old is not a person with such a mindset. Fowler primarily points the finger at himself, feeling that he is responsible for this, especially after the latest information that he will not perform at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Fowler, along with his colleague Jordan Spieth, will not be included in this competition, but if one of them wins at Cognizant, it could be an opportunity to play at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which seems like a really unrealistic option.
Fowler shared his feelings about the Arnold Palmer Invitational at the press conference after the second round of the Cognizant, highlighting that he had to play better to secure a spot in the tournament.
The American is grateful for the chance to play some of the important tournaments.
Well, at the end of the day, play better, Fowler said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.
It would be a lot easier just having played well last year and earned my way into these events.
Been very fortunate and very thankful to Steve John at Pebble and AT&T to get a spot there and Tiger and Genesis to get the one at Torrey. But its tough to try and get all of them. Being able to get some of them is great.

Yeah, it is what it is. Like I said, at the end of the day, play well and thatll take care of it."
Ricki Fowler tries to be optimistic
The great golfer admits that he is not happy because he will not play next week, especially because such a competition has a huge meaning for him. In addition, the experienced golfer has always had respect and a high opinion of the legendary Palmer.
Fowler, on the other hand, is not shying away from the option of winning at Cognizant and securing a place at the championship next week.
