Boris Becker read about Federico Gomez's deeply honest revelation about his mental health battles and the former six-time Grand Slam champion is making himself available for any kind of help.

The 28-year-old Argentine - who made his first big breakthrough last season and won three Challenger titles - shared in an Instagram post that while he has been enjoying his best tennis days, he has also been going through the toughest period of his life.

In his message, Gomez also admitted to having suicidal thoughts.

His post started going viral on X, and that led to Becker noticing it and making a very classy gesture.

"God bless Federico! If I can help in any way, contact me on my Instagram!" the German tennis legend wrote on X.

Gomez opened up very candidly about his dark period

"Living with thoughts of quitting tennis completely, of really questioning whether all of this is really worth it and even on repeated occasions suicidal thoughts of not wanting to live anymore and leaving this world, which I find very difficult to express but I wanted you to know so that you can understand actions or behaviors that I possibly had in this last period and this seeks to explain that a little," the world No. 135 wrote on Instagram.

"It's hard for me to write all this without crying my eyes out, but I think it's the best decision I could have made at this moment to get rid of this huge weight that I feel on top of me and that eats my head 24/7."

For the majority of his career, Gomez played on the Futures level.

But after making a couple of strong results last year, he broke into the top-300 for the first time in his career - and not only that - he even finished the year ranked inside the top-140.

Also, the Argentine made his ATP main-level debut last September after qualifying for the ATP 250 tournament in Chengdu and winning a match there before losing in the round-of-16.

Hopefully, Gomez will benefit from opening up about his issues and improve his well-being and state.
