Arthur Bouquier received a shocking message ahead of today's match at the Thionville Challenger as the Frenchman was told by a gambler that he bet 2k euros on him and that he would be watching him in person to make sure he could harm him if he failed to win the match.

Today, the world No. 225 plays against 522nd-ranked German Florian Broska.
Hours before the match, Bouquier posted a message he received in French and tagged the ATP Tour, ITF and also the Thionville tournament.
In the message, a person claimed to have bet 2k euros on the 24-year-old local player to beat Broska in two sets.
Bouquier shares a threatening message he received
"You are playing against Florian Broska a ranked 522 who never wins in the first round I just hope you make the effort to take him out in 2 sets because I bet 2000 euros on you in 2 sets," the message written in French read.
"I swear if you lose I will not forgive you I will hunt you down or your family just to hurt you even if it means going to prison by the way because if I lose these 2000 euros I will be on the street so nothing will make sense to me I might as well end my days in prison."

At the end of his message, the person in question also added that he would be in the stands for his match.
Presumably, the Thionville organizers will react accordingly and make sure that Bouquier stays safe during and after the match.
