Fans have been wondering where Jamie Hayter has been, and now weve got an update. The former AEW Womens World Champion hasnt wrestled on AEW TV since January 22, leading to plenty of speculation about her status.
Turns out, Hayter is currently back in the UK and handling visa issues. According to Fightful Selects Sean Ross Sapp, shes in the process of getting her visa renewed, which is also why shes been taking independent bookings in the UK lately. While theres no exact timeline for when everything will be sorted out, shes expected to return to AEW once the process is completed.
Hayter recently wrestled for Pro Wrestling: EVE on February 7 in London, marking only her second indie match since signing with AEW in 2022. Her last AEW match was more than a month ago, which left fans questioning whats next for the hard-hitting star.
For now, its all about waiting for the paperwork to go through, but Hayters absence hasnt gone unnoticed. AEWs womens division has been moving forward, but theres always room for the former champ to step back in and shake things up when she returns.
