WWEs Saudi Arabia schedule is getting a major shake-upand 2025 is going to look very different.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE is only scheduled to hold one premium live event in Saudi Arabia this, a significant drop from the two events held annually since 2019 (excluding the COVID-19 years). The company is still ironing out the details, but this shift is already expected to have a financial impact.
During WWEs 2024 earnings call, TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer confirmed the scheduling change, explaining that cutting down to one event will reduce WWEs total revenue by approximately $55 million. But fans in Saudi Arabia wont have to wait long for bigger things2026 is set to feature three major WWE events in the country, including the Royal Rumble.
Our guidance for 2025 includes one PLE in Saudi Arabia, compared to two PLEs in 2024, Schleimer stated. We expect to host three PLEs in Saudi Arabia in 2026, including Royal Rumble.
This move makes the 2026 Royal Rumble the first-ever Rumble held outside North America, opening the door for even bigger events down the line. While WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia isnt confirmed, locking in a Big Four event proves WWE is willing to think even bigger when it comes to international expansion.
For now, all eyes are on 2025 as WWE finalizes the details for its only Saudi Arabia event this year. Do you think WWE should continue expanding their events overseas, or should they focus more on their traditional markets? Drop your thoughts below!
