While the Croatian never managed to win a Grand Slam, he still did some very notable things as he became a Masters champion - led Croatia to their first Davis Cup title - and was also ranked as high as No. 3 in the world.

After ending his pro tennis journey at the age of 32 in 2012, 2006 French Open semifinalist Ljubicic joined Roger Federer's team in 2016.

Shortly after starting their partnership, the Swiss ended his Grand Slam drought and won his first Major in five years at the 2017 Australian Open.

In an interview with the Australian Open website, the Croatian tennis legend recalled the 2005 season, during which she consistently performed well and didn't have much time to rest.

And that's when he remembered the 2005 Croatian team winning pulling off a historic feat for their country - getting welcomed by thousands of fans in the capital city - but then not celebrating together after it was all over.

Ljubicic: Federer taught me to celebrate your victories... As a player, I didn't do that enough

"Still to this day, I'm sorry that after that celebration in the main square, that we didn't go to eat together as a team, the former world No. 3 said in the interview.

Right after that, you know how it is, I go home, I go see my family, and then we never get back as a team. And that was something that I regret a little bit.

Looking back, if I can give any advice to people, and Roger taught me this more than anybody else: celebrate your victories. Celebrate them. Even the losses if it's the final, give it time. It deserves to be celebrated.

That's something when I was a player I didn't do enough.
