Will Ospreay didnt hesitate when he saw a Triple H impersonator step into the ringhe knew exactly what had to be done. Fans immediately speculated that Ospreay was taking another shot at The Game, but now hes clearing the air.
On February 7, Ospreay made a surprise appearance at Pro Wrestling EVEs Multiverse Rumble, an event where wrestlers dressed as different characters. Thats when Anita Triple H Vaughan entered the match, and Ospreay wasted no time hitting a Pedigree. Given Ospreays history with Triple Hwho once accused him of running from the grindmany assumed this was another dig.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Ospreay explained that it wasnt meant to be that deep. He just thought it was hilarious.
Ospreay made it clear that it was all in good fun, even if some fans took it another way.
The Pedigree popped the 518 fans in attendance, but Ospreay didnt get to celebrate for longhe was eliminated moments later by Rayne Rayne-O-Mac Leverkusen.
While the internet ran wild with theories, but reports surfaced that claimed that the Pedigree was actually a last-minute addition after some wrestlers dropped out of the match. There was no long-term plan behind itit was simply Ospreay reacting to the moment.
That said, Ospreays beef with Triple H isnt exactly ancient history. Last year, Triple H took a shot at Ospreay for choosing AEW over WWE, claiming he wasnt ready for the grind. Ospreay fired back in promos, making it clear he wasnt afraid to clap back. So while he may claim this Pedigree was just a joke, some fans arent convinced.
