A few months ago, the popular golfer looked back at the Masters, saying that there were a lot of problems at August, but his wish is to become more consistent.
I would say short game was very up and down last year, McIlroy said, as quoted by Irish Independent.
I had some excellent weeks, and then Id have some stinkers, as well, around the greens. I want to try to just get that a little bit more consistent.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational could be an indicator of Rory's form, and whether he has the potential to win at the Masters in a month. After the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Rory is focused on playing in the Players Championship, but after that everything is still unknown. However, in in interview with the media, the Northern Irishman stressed that he will probably play one more tournament.

Talking about the changes in his golf set, McIlroy shared that the beginning of those changes was related to his decision to switch to a ball that has more spin. These changes have influenced his equipment selection, and the new three-wood now allows him to hit 300-305 yards in the air, which he considers quite sufficient.
Also, instead of his previous five-wood, he decided to use a four-wood, which covers the difference, and added a three-iron as a replacement for the five-wood.
