Fans were shocked at the WWE Elimination Chamber when John Cena turned heel and teamed up with The Rock. Rapper Travis Scott was involved in the shocking moment, but he legitimately injured Cody Rhodes after bursting his eardrum, and now it appears Scott has been heavily criticized for his actions.
While speaking on The Stevie Richards Show, Stevie Richards believes Scott took all the attention away from what really mattered, focusing on himself instead of the main event at WrestleMania 41. He said Scott didnt understand how much skill and effort it takes to wrestle safely.
According to Richards, if Scott had any understanding of wrestling or respect for the business, he would have known it wasnt about him. Instead, Scott was only trying to make himself look strong, without caring about Cody Rhodes or the match. Richards also said most wrestling fans, especially in England, dont care about Scotts involvement in WWE.
Richards accused Travis Scott of being selfish and taking advantage of Cody Rhodes. He said that after the show ended, he wished Cody had gotten up and beaten up Scott to teach him a lesson.
Richards also talked about how serious a perforated eardrum can be. He revealed that Gail Kim once accidentally hit him in the ear, causing balance issues, migraines, and vertigo, which made it hard to wrestle and stated that its not a joke at all.
At the end, Richards stated that to Travis Scott it was all a joke. He pointed out that Scott pushed Cody Rhodes face into the mat so hard that he couldnt even move. Richards said this was a cheap move and showed that Scott didnt care about anyone but himself. He finished by calling Scott an a****** for his unprofessional behavior.
WWE has considered bookingTravis Scott for future matches, as he has been training for in-ring competition and the rapper himself made it clear he caught the wrestling bug wand really wants to wrestle. Therefore, its clear fans will be seeing more of Scott in the future, for better or for worse.
