Arsenal emphatically bounced back from their Premier League woes on Tuesday evening.

The Gunners fired seven past PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie as they put their attacking woes behind them, with Mikel Arteta desperate for his side to build on their European triumph when they visit Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

They will want to pile even more misery on the struggling Red Devils amid a season opf turmoil for their old adversaries, but injuries could limit their ability to do that at Old Trafford.

Here are the Arsenal players who will miss Sunday's battle.

Arsenal's injuries are mainly confined to the forward department but they are still missing one piece of the puzzle in defence. Takehiro Tomiyasu, who has played just once this season, will miss the remainder of the campaign.

Myles Lewis-Skelly is available once again for the Gunners after missing the goalless draw with Nottingham Forest through suspension, but Riccardo Calafiori could come into the starting lineup at left-back.

Midfielders

Fortunately for Arteta, he has no injuries to concern himself with in midfield. All of Arsenal's engine room operators are available, with Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice and Thomas Partey expected to take to the field on Sunday.

Ethan Nwaneri and Mikel Merino have usually turned out in the centre of the park this season, but forward injuries mean that the duo have both been pushed into the Gunners' attacking triumvirate.

Forwards

This is where things get tricky for Arsenal. They are without four of their five orthodox forwards and have been for the past few weeks following a season-ending injury to Kai Havertz.

The German was Arsenal's only natural centre-forward after Gabriel Jesus had himself suffered an ACL injury which will keep him in the treatment room for the rest of the campaign. Merino is filling their shoes right now.

Arsenal are also short in the wide areas and have been left with just Nwaneri, Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterliing as options following lengthy layoffs for Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. The duo are still some way off returning to the mix.
