The 45-year-old will have the opportunity to perform this year, and his last performance certainly attracted the attention of European captain Luka Donald. Sergio Garcia sent clear messages after his last performance, saying that he expects the captain's attention.
"I think he's watching," Garcia said, as quoted by France 24.
"We've been in touch, so I know that he's keeping an eye."
The Spanish golfer has long since written a record playing in this competition. Namely, Garcia won more points than anyone in the history of this competition. This is the reason why Sergio was particularly disappointed because he did not perform at last year's edition. The seasoned golfer hopes things could be different now.
Garcia is determined to help the Europeans at Bethpage Black.
"The only thing I can do is keep playing good golf," he said.

"I just want to help the European team like I've tried to do every single time I've been a member of that team.
Hopefully he will think I'm good enough for it."
Luke Donald will be the key to everything
The experienced golfer showed at the last performance at LIV Golf that his persona is really destined for great things. It will be interesting to follow his progress, and to see if Luke Donald will really make a decision that would probably cause mixed reactions among European golf fans.
This was the second LIV title for Garcia, after he won in Valderrama in 2024.
The Europeans will have a tough task at Bethpage Black, considering that the US players are hungry for success, and ready to do anything to celebrate in this competition.
