Swerve Strickland fully embraces his roots and his love for hip-hop, and he is set to have a major match at AEW Revolution this week. Ahead of the event, Strickland has now addressed rumors of Kendrick Lamar possibly appearing at the pay-per-view.

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Swerve Strickland was asked about the rumors surrounding AEW Revolution taking place at the Crypto.com Arena and whether Kendrick Lamar would make an appearance.

Strickland said he didnt know and was more focused on his match against Riccochet. He mentioned that whenever theres a hip-hop rumor, people ask him about it. In the past, artists like Rick Ross, Bun B, Westside Gunn, Fabolous, and Kevin Gates have made appearances, but those were just friendly connections.

As for Kendrick Lamar, Strickland said he has never met him and doesnt have any ties to TDE. However, he is friends with Isaiah Rashad and gave him a shoutout as one of his favorite artists.

Strickland also shared that his WWE name, Isaiah Scott, was inspired by Isaiah Rashad. Thats how they became friends, but he hasnt spoken to Rashad in a while. In the end, he made it clear that he has no connection to Kendrick and has no idea if he will show up at Revolution.

Sean Ross Sapp reported that both wrestlers and backstage personnel quickly pitched the idea of bringing Kendrick Lamar to AEW after Logan Paul took a jab at Drake at Elimination Chamber. However, while the idea created excitement, Sapp admitted that making it happen would be quite difficult, saying, It was immediately pitched by a bunch of wrestlers and people in the company, Sapp said. Realistically, it would be very difficult to pull off.

While Swerve Strickland has no connection to Kendrick Lamar, AEW has a history of featuring hip-hop stars at their events. Artists like Rick Ross and Westside Gunn have previously made appearances, showing the companys openness to collaborations. Whether Kendrick Lamar will appear at AEW Revolution this week or in the future is not known right now but fans are hoping it happens in the end.
