Fans were ready for AEW Revolution 2025 as the event took over the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. There were several titles on the line all night, including The Rainmaker putting his title on the line in a hard-hitting contest.
Kazuchika Okada has been wrestling shorter matches since signing with AEW. He defended the AEW Continental Championship against Brody King at Revolution 2025.
This match went on fourth of the night, right after Swerve Strickland clinched the #1 contender spot in his brutal match against Ricochet. Fans gave Brody King a great entrance, but Okadas reception was far louder.
Brody and Okada started off this match in brutal fashion, and they didnt back down from the get-go. Eventually, the two took the action to ringside, where King maintained control over the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
When they got back to the outside, Brody nailed a superplex off the top rope to continue the punishment on Okada. Eventually, Okada tried to get a Rainmaker, but Brody reversed it into a Death Valley Driver into the turnbuckle, which he followed up with a cannonball for a two count.
Brody King reversed out of another Rainmaker, but then Okada got out of a Gonzo Bomb. Okada nailed a dropkick and then he hit the Rainmaker for the win. That was quite a match for Okada, and he proved quite a point in the process.
