Word is spreading that Watanabe may have suffered an ankle injury during her TBS Championship match against Mercedes Mon.
The Japanese wrestling star had to be helped and carried to the back after the match, which saw Mon retain her title with a brutal Money-Maker into a submission finish. According to reports, Watanabes injury may have occurred late in the match when she came off the ropes, but details are still emerging.
The match itself was a war, with both women bringing their best.
