The AEW Revolution pay-per-view was undoubtedly one of the most memorable shows in recent memory, and it also had some surprising names for the event as well. In fact, it appears a former WWE name was backstage at Revolution as well.

Renee Paquette took to her Instagram story and uploaded a photo of herself alongside Mauro Ranallo, who was present backstage at the Revolution pay-per-view. Ranallo looked happy to be present for the show, as it marked an unexpected appearance for the former WWE commentator.

Mauro Ranallo left the world of professional wrestling for a while until his return at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestlings Forged in Excellence event last year. Since then, he has kept himself busy with various events outside professional wrestling, including last years Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match.

The Revolution pay-per-view also featured another unexpected name backstage, as recently released WWE Superstar Elekra Lopez was present at the event as well. Naturally, both her and Ranallos appearances have made fans wonder if they would end up joining the company one day.

AEW is always looking to grow its presentation and commentary team, and fans are already speculating about what Ranallos backstage presence at Revolution could mean. His energetic style and iconic calls could add a solid dynamic to AEW broadcasts if Tony Khan decides to bring him in, so well have to see if that will happen in the end.
