The Houston Texans are trading five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Washington Commanders for a package of picks, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Tunsil, 30, has two years remaining on the three-year, $75 million extension he signed with the Texans in 2021.
It's the second major trade the Commanders have made to bolster their offense behind quarterback Jayden Daniels, the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024. The Commanders had earlier agreed to a trade for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr.
Tunsil started all 17 games last season for the Texans as he was selected to his third straight Pro Bowl.
