Thomas Wansaw, best known to wrestling fans as Bear Boulder, is officially off the hook after prosecutors declined to move forward with charges in his domestic violence case.
According to court records, the Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida filed paperwork on March 6, confirming that there would be no charges filed against Wansaw. This comes after the victimhis fianceformally requested for the case to be dismissed back in January.
Wansaw was originally arrested on January 13 on battery by strangulation charges after allegedly pushing his fiance to the floor and placing his foot on her throat until she lost consciousness. The victim also claimed this was not the first time an incident like this had happened.
Following his arrest, AEW quickly cut ties with Wansaw, releasing him without public acknowledgment. His longtime tag team partner, Bear Bronson (Joseph Fitz), also distanced himself from him, and the Iron Savages future as a team is now in question.
Wansaw has not wrestled since January 11 and has yet to comment publicly on his arrest or the case dismissal.
