Tessa Blanchard has returned to TNA since December where she started a feud with former Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. Grace has since moved on to WWE while Blanchard is just starting back up in TNA.
WWE and TNA have extended their partnership crossover with a multi year deal between the two. This has been exclusive for NXT talents and TNA talents to cross back and forth. Currently, Cora Jade from NXT has been feuding with the TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich. They meet this Friday at Sacrifice.
While speaking with Straight Talk Wrestling, Blanchard was asked if she was interested in the TNA/NXT crossover. She stated she is currently focused on TNA as there are some great Knockouts to contend with.
Who knows? I always thought that that would be my path in my career, but right now, it feels like my story kind of paused in TNA Wrestling, and Ive kind of got to hit the resume button, and to mix it up with some of the knockouts right now is something incredibly special. Youve got Knockouts such as Masha Slamovich. Youve got Heather by Elegance, who Im personally a fan of. I would love to have a singles contest against her. Weve got new surprises coming in. Im confident in my abilities, but Im more excited about the possibilities that I could have competing against these women. Who knows? Maybe because Ive been training the past year in lucha libre action, Ive been under Ultimo Guerrero and Tony Salazar out at Arena Mexico, training and training my hind end off, I would love to mix it up in maybe tag team action because that became my normal over there, those multi-woman matches. So maybe thats in my future. But as far as this crossover, I am completely focused on TNA Wrestling right now, but I will also seize any and every opportunity,Blanchard said. (Fightful transcript)
Blanchard has spoken highly of NXT talents such as Sol Ruca and Kelani Jordan.
This Friday at Sacrifice, Blanchard will be taking on Lei Ying Lee.
