Anthony Kim's career is probably the most unique of all, completely different from anything we've seen so far. The 39-year-old American was a huge talent and a person who attracted a lot of attention while playing on the PGA Tour. However, Kim magically disappeared from the golf scene, and even took a break from this sport for 12 years. Subsequently, Kim revealed the reasons for such a decision, stressing that he had mental health issues, and also indulged in addictions that caused him additional problems.

However, the great golfer recently returned to the golf scene, joining LIV Golf. Such a decision did not arouse sympathy from the fans, but Anthony still feels that he made a good move.
In a conversation with Rick Shiels, the famous golfer revealed that he had not thought about returning to golf courses, but after hearing that some Tours were interested in him, he got a huge motivation to return.
It definitely wasnt something I thought was even possible. I had heard there was some interest in me coming back to golf. But then they had heard how far removed I was from the game, and I figured theres zero chance. Nor did I even want to play golf, because the last memories I have of playing golf are not fun. It was injury, struggle, addiction, depression, mental illness. So golf wasnt something that I remembered and I was like, yeah, lets go do this, he said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.

Anthony Kim explains what happened
This great golfer explained that he didn't think much of it at first, but after he got sober and realized that both golf tours wanted to hire him, he started to take it more seriously. It all actually started when some unknown user wrote on Twitter that LIV had signed him for a huge sum of money, which was completely unknown to him.
"I have no idea who this guy is, but I owe him dinner.- he concluded.
Anthony later found out that the rumors had started to spread, and soon people from the PGA Tour contacted him and asked if it was true. Even though he didn't even have a golf club then, people were already asking him if he had signed a contract worth 100 million dollars. Kim streesed that the whole situation was unbelievable and started only because of rumors on social networks.
