Fans were completely surprised at WWE Elimination Chamber when John Cena became a bad guy and teamed up with The Rock. Rapper Travis Scott was part of the moment, but he legitimately hurt Cody Rhodes by bursting his eardrum. While many people have blasted Scott for what he did, it appears Swerve Strickland has defended Travis Scott.
While speaking to Bootleg Kev, Swerve Strickland was asked about Travis Scott hurting Cody Rhodes. Strickland noted that Scott was simply an excited fan living out his dream. Being in the ring with two of wrestlings biggest legends, along with the current world champion, created a lot of pressure and excitement. Strickland pointed out that when someone outside the wrestling industry gets involved, things can sometimes go too far.
Strickland added that Scott had been training with Booker T and was more excited about wrestling than music. Strickland, who recently played golf with him, told Scott to be careful and make sure no one got hurt.
What do you think about Swerve Strickland defending Travis Scott? Is WWE doing the right thing by still using Travis Scott after what he did? Share your thoughts in the comments!
