Just before stepping into the ring to defend his NXT Championship at NXT Roadblock, Oba Femi had a surprise encounter with none other than The Undertaker.
As Femi was making his way out, The Deadman stopped him backstage and made it clear that he had been paying close attention. I got to tell you m impressed, Undertaker told the young champion. Then, in a moment that had Femi locked in, he delivered a message that felt like a passing of the torch. I dont need to tell you how important this is but I will tell you to go out there and defend your yard.
With a battle against TNA X-Division Champion Moose looming, those words carried a weight that Femi didnt take lightly. The reigning NXT Champion had already made a statement with his dominant run, but hearing those words from a WWE legend right before his match was something else entirely.
NXT Roadblock was already set to be a massive night, featuring The Hardy Boyz defending their TNA Tag Team Titles, a Winner Takes All match between Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, and a New York City Street Fight between Ethan Page and JeVon Evans. But now, with The Undertakers influence behind him, Femi had an even bigger reason to prove himself.
