Scottie Scheffler will play in this year's Players Championship, marked as the main favorite to win this competition. Reason? The great form of the last season, as well as the victory in the previous two editions of this tournament, give us the right to expect a victory from the 28-year-old golfer, who did not start the season in his style.

The injury that stood in the way of his success this year seems to be a thing of the past, and now Scottie is strongly motivated to repeat last year.
During the press conference, the great golfer looked back on the successes in this tournament in previous seasons, delighted that he became the first player to do such a feat. The 28-year-old did not forget to praise the caddy, Ted Scott, marking him as the key to success.
"It was pretty special to win back-to-back Players titles. That's something you never really get the opportunity to do very often. It's tough enough to win one Players, and I was thankful to become the first player to repeat as champion in our flagship event.
I remember putting up a good fight for four days. My caddie Ted Scott was instrumental in the win as he kept me in a good head space the whole week as I was battling a neck injury which flared up during the second round."- he said, as quoted by Korea JoongAng Daily.

Scottie Scheffler talks about his challenges
Scottie Scheffler reflected on the physical and mental challenges he faced during the tournament, especially due to his neck injury. Although he felt pain, especially when charging, this great golfer remained determined and focused on not giving up. Thanks to the work of his physiotherapist, his condition improved over the weekend, which allowed him to perform better.
The 28-year-old pointed out that the very next day, after the injury, he felt an improvement, which was considered a great success, because usually injuries get worse the day after. On Saturday he was a little better, and on Sunday he was almost completely normal and played a good round.
For the final, Scottie had a goal to start well on the first nine, hoping to bring the lower score back into the game. After hitting a great eagle putt on the fourth hole, he started to get going. On the back nine, Scheffler hit some good shots and accurate putts to finish his round.
