Collin Morikawa's frustrations after the Arnold Palmer Invitational are best seen in the fact that the American left the golf course immediately after the final round and headed home. The famous golfer did not want to talk to reporters, probably tired and disappointed.

Morikawa came close to winning the last PGA Tournament, but Russell Henley's great round got in the way of his success, and the popular golfer had to settle for T2.

Before the start of The Players Championship, Morikawa explained why he acted in such a way:

"No offense to you guys, but for me in the moment of that time, I didn't want to be around anyone." he said, as quoted by Deadspin.

"Like, I didn't want to talk to anyone. I didn't need any 'sorries'. I didn't need any 'good playings'."

It is natural that impressions settle hours later, and the frustrations that reigned slowly disappear. At the end of the tournament, the American golfer had to cool down, think carefully about everything, and admits that he was ready to talk to them an hour later. Losing like that can be exhausting.

"Honestly, if it was an hour later I would have talked to you guys, but an hour later I was on my way out to here (The Players), because I didn't want to be in Orlando anymore. ... I was just drained," he said.

Collin Morikawa talks about his performance

Collin is not happy with his performances, especially in the final rounds, where he could have done better. When things are not going your way, you ask yourself what you can change.

However, facing the same problems over and over again is very frustrating.

"Sunday night was a lot of frustration. Just looking back over the past year and kind of how I went about my fall was to figure out how to play better in final rounds, and when you don't play well and you don't close it out, you're like, how do we go back to the drawing board," he said.
