Jannik Sinner's return to the professional tour is scheduled for the Rome Masters 1000, where he will have the opportunity to play in front of his home fans who will welcome him like a king. As everyone knows, the world number 1 is currently suspended after reaching an agreement with WADA and cannot train in any facility affiliated with federations either in Italy or abroad until April 13.

His ban will end on May 4, just in time to allow him to participate in the Rome tournament. Some players and insiders said that the timing of this suspension seemed to be made ad hoc so that he would not miss the Rome Masters 1000, one of the most important tournaments for him and in which he dreams of winning sooner or later.
The 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria - who will almost certainly be world number 1 even after his return - has never particularly shone at the Foro Italico so far and had to miss the 2024 edition due to a hip injury.
Jannik will also use this tournament to prepare for Roland Garros, the toughest Slam for him, in which he reached the semifinals as his best career result.

The 3-time Grand Slam champion is training mainly athletically with his team, while he will focus on tennis only in the last few weeks before returning to action.
Sinner will be treated like a king
In the meantime, FITP president Angelo Binaghi has confirmed that a personalized suite will be dedicated to Sinner at the Foro Italico: "We will dedicate a space to him similar to what Novak Djokovic asked us a few years ago.
When he was world No. 1, Nole didn't frequent the players' lounge and wanted a place where he could relax and prepare for matches.
We believe that Jannik should be protected, which is why we will dedicate this space to him if he wants to."
The world No.1 would like to lift the trophy in Rome in front of his fans, as he did at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin last year.
