WrestleMania 41 weekend could see another legendary tag team take its place in WWE history. Fred Ottman, known to fans as Tugboat and Typhoon, has revealed that he received a phone call about being inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame.
Ottman confirmed the news in an interview with Bill Apter, revealing that longtime WWE creative mind Bruce Prichard personally called him to break the news.
Thank you. It is an honor, Ottman said. It was crazy when I got that phone call and they told me that. Mr. Prichard called me. Hes an awesome guy. I couldnt believe it. I was like, wow, what an incredible thing. I always say theres so many guys that are so worthy to be in there that arent yet. For this to happen, it was just amazing.
It was also confirmed that Ottman will be inducted alongside his longtime tag team partner, the late John Tenta, better known as Earthquake. The duo, famously known as The Natural Disasters, dominated the WWE tag team scene in the early 90s and captured the WWF Tag Team Championship in 1992.
At the time of writing, the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class will include:
