Mike Rome was back behind the mic for WWE NXT Roadblock, but his absence on the March 4 edition of NXT had fans wondering where he went.
According to Fightful Select, Rome missed the show due to personal reasons, though no further details were provided.
While Rome was away, WWE brought in a familiar voice to step inLilian Garcia. The legendary ring announcer, best known for her time on Raw and major WWE pay-per-views, filled in for the night, adding an unexpected throwback moment for longtime fans.
Rome, who moved from the main roster to NXT following last years WWE Draft, has been the voice of NXT ever since. This wasnt the first time he took some time offhe previously stepped away for a short period following the birth of his child.
