AEW Dynamite aired from the Save Mart Center at Fresno State on March 12. AEW Revolution is in the rearview mirror, and Kenny Omega is a champion in AEW once again.
Kenny Omega was on hand for AEW Dynamite this week with the International Championship. The Cleaner was looking to continue his momentum after toppling the Don Callis Familys Takeshita at the pay-per-view.
Kenny Omega opened up the show this week, and he had fans ready to see what the new International Champion would do. He was an overwealming babyface, and he also spent time around ringside with fans who wanted to give him gifts and get his autograph.
He started out his promo by saying how wild it is to be in the ring as a singles champion, considering how diverticulitis nearly took him out. He had a lot of people to thank, including Will Ospreay. Then he thanked Takeshita, because he pushed him harder at Revolution than Omega could have ever pushed himself. That is what brought Omega back to where he needed to be to win the title.
That is when Kenny Omega plugged the Dynasty Eliminator Tournament, and he said that he wants whoever wins the tournament, because he wants to face them. At that point, Omega did his signature close out for his promo, and he posed for the fans.
We will have to see what is next for Kenny Omega, but he is in good spirits right now. It migth be mind-blowing that he is holding a singles title after going through so much, but that is the reality we live in.
